ARCHIVE: CHAOS EMERGENCY DOOF BROADCAST NETWORK #235: DEMOCRATICALLY DISTRACTING DINDEPENDENCE
A show on Independence Day which also coincided with polling day for a General Election was always going to see us walking a tightrope between shiny distraction and partly political broadcast. Did we manage it? Listen again to hear an aggressively eclectic choice of musical candidates punctuated by chat about the return of Covid, wondering where all the time goes, not so smart meters, self-assembly kitchens, over-catering for al fresco eating, department store switchboards, adult chat lines, measurement errors during online shopping, developing the reading list, hopping from one media form to another, restorative feline bowel movements, suggestible side quests, Hengercise, pretending badly to be a strawberry, navigating without technology, and saying goodbye to those who are about to go on a long, long holiday…
