College Lecturer

Lee Chaos began his college career teaching for Gloucestershire College in 2001 whilst running his record label, Wasp Factory Recordings, teaching music technology and the music business. In 2006 he was recruited to work full time for Stroud College delivering their In Tune outreach project to excluded and at risk teenagers. In 18 months, the project reached over 150 teenagers, was the subject of a government report on good practice and won Lee the UCU Lifechangers Award in 2008.

He then went on to establish the Level 3 course at Stroud College before returning to Gloucestershire College to run their Level 4 Music Production course in 2009. Since then he has expanded his contract to teach across every other level of music course the college offer, specialising in working with hard to reach students and those with physical disadvantages.

“Deeply passionate about his work and inspiring to his students, Lee is an engaging teacher that has a talent for being able to relate to a wide and diverse range of individuals. I’m very grateful for having been taught by him and almost certainly wouldn’t be where I am now without having had him as a tutor, he instills a positive and lasting impression on his students.”
