Word Up, followers of Chaos, and welcome to another slab of Chaos Engine news and manoeuvres. Apologies for our uncharacteristically quiet spell of late, we’ve been working like demons on making everything bigger and better than ever…

— THE END OF THE ROAD? —

Rumours may have already reached your ears that The Chaos engine will be taking a break from gigging in the first half or so of 2003. Contrary to other rumours, we’re not splitting up, just taking a well-earned rest and thinking of new ways to make the live show even more stunning than before!

We’ve done some fantastic shows in this last frenzy of gigging – thanks to all of you devotees who’ve come out and cheered, shouted lurched and heckled us! Here’s a round up of our last shows for 2002 – catch us while you still can!

With support from ARKAM ASYLUM

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 23RD

— CHAOS ENGINE WEBSITE —

This has to be one of the most asked questions recently, and the hot news is our website is *very very nearly* finished! We’ll be dropping you a line when it’s up and arranging for you to chat to all the members of the band online for its launch. Big thanks to Mr Gaz for his work so far and get well soon!

— OUTRO —

This spamblast was brought to you by buy one get one free litre bottles of Kick, toffee yogurts and Rib & Saucy NikNaks, and hindered to the point of slovenly behaviour by Grand Theft Auto 3. If anyone wants The Chaos Engine to take *more* time off, just buy me Vice City & see what happens! ;)

CHAOS ENGINE MINI-SPAM, 26/03/02

Good day all you Chaos Spam consumers – apologies to slap you with another portion so soon after the last meaty treat, but just wanted to clear up a few issues regarding our launch party Upstairs At The Garage, this Friday 29th March.

The bill and running order is:
THE CHAOS ENGINE – onstage 10.15
D.U.S.T – onstage 9.30
TARANTELLA SERPENTINE – onstage 8.45
ZWARTENBLAUW – onstage 8.00

Doors open at 7.30pm, and Club Noir runs from after I finish shouting until 3am. I will be at the bar, and I like Cider, Red Bull and black (yes, in the same glass) upon completion of the set.

Tickets: As some of you are travelling a LONG way to see us and Upstairs at the Garage is quite an ‘intimate’ venue, you may wish to consider either getting to the venue early to avoid disappointment or getting tickets in advance. We’ve got the following details for ticket outlets:

Credit Card Hotline: 01905 748855
Stargreen: 020 7734 8932
Ticketmaster: 020 7734 0044
Personal callers: Resurrection Records, Camden High St, London

[apparently Stargreen’s site lists the gig as Thursday. They are just plain WRONG – tickets still valid for Friday]

Finally, anyone travelling from our sunny home town of Cheltenham or surrounding may like to know that a mini-bus has been organised to and from the venue, leaving around 11.30am, calling in at Camden for shopping and noodles, then on to the venue and leaving back for ‘Nam when the merriment ceases. The cost for this door-to-door service is a mere £12 – for bookings, please e-mail Mum on topminx@flirt.co.uk and not me!!

And as regards for the CD – YES, we accept cheques as well as hard cash!

Right, see you all on Friday then!

— CHAOS ENGINE SPAMBLAST, 06/02/2002 —

— Introduction —

Good morrow to y’all and welcome to a rather apologietic-flavoured blob of Spam this month…

— Escape Ferocity delayed…again —

After my bravado of last month, saying that the new Chaos Engine album would *definitely* be out on February 11th (and even running ads to say as much), it’s just not going to happen. The main reason for this is that the album mix and recording will now be assisted by Luke Fletcher, who has worked with such luminaries as Primal Scream, Jesus Jones and Ride, and we’re having to fit in around his hectic schedule. Last thing I want is to chuck out something we’re not happy with (although the rough mixes still fill me with deep joy…)

As a result, the scheduled launch party for February 11th will now not be happening, although you *can* catch me guesting with Tarantella Serpentine at the 2 pigs, Cheltenham instead.

HOWEVER! All is not lost! The album will now be released over Easter, and we have some exciting launch parties already shaping up!
The London launch will be on 29th March upstairs at the Garage, where we’ll be playing a superstar-studded set with special support from D.U.S.T and Tarantella Serpentine. We’ll also be doing a local launch (for local people!) in Cheltenham on either 25th March or 1st April (no, really!!).

And those of you who pre-ordered the CD – thanks for your patience. You’ll be getting an extra little something in the post when it’s all done & dusted, and anyone who pre-orders now from http://www.wasp-factory.com will get a free T-shirt too!

— Gig update —

— Darkcell Digital Music —

Thought I’d give a quick plug to Darkcell Digital, who will be looking after the Wasp Factory shop in the near future – http://www.darkcelldigitalmusic.net – you can buy all the Wasp Factory and Chaos Engine goodies there in Euros or dollars, and listen to MP3s of all our wondrous wares – go now!

As the Chaos Engine website rots and dies, prior to bursting from it’s foetid cocoon sometime after the album’s finished looking all new and improved, the yahoo club thing which we’ve got at http://www.chaosengine.com goes from strength to strength – here you can find out up to the minute gossip on the band, see terrifying and confusing photos of us trying to play Twister, steal armoured vehicles and nurture WWF action figures in frozen gravy. No, really, you’ve just GOT to be there!

— DJ antics —

…like I *need* any more distractions!! :) I’ll be out spinning a few tunes including in all probability some Chaos Engine test-mixes of the album at a couple of clubs over the coming months:

Saturday February 23rd
Entropy, Window’s Art Centre, Bath

http://www.entropybath.co.uk/

Thursday March 28th
Lowlife, Brighton

— outro —

This spamblast was brought to you by the Rock in gravy sauce®, Solstis stick-flavoured beverage and a LOT of coffee. I mean, a real lot.
